Absolut Sweden
A distinctive wet-cement-like nose with hints of citrus zest. Very fuel-like on the palate with a rich, velvety texture and a coarse finish. Anything but neutral. Great with tonic.

Absolut "Citron" Sweden
Very lemony in an industrial way. Rich and assertive on the palate with tart citrus flavors accented by mineral, wet river-stone notes. Intense throughout, finishing bold.

Absolut "Peppar" Sweden
Quite an oddball. Intense scents of charred bell pepper laced with coarse ground black pepper and dried herbs. A hefty palate carries the flavors beautifully. Very well structured. Ideal in a Bloody Mary.

Absolut "Kurant" Sweden
Oddly sweet and sour with competing notes of honey and tart fruits. A bit confused with undetermined fruit flavors. A cocktail additive, not a solo performer.

Belvedere Poland
Made from 100% Polish rye. Semi-sweet candied currants and minerals fill the nose. Citrus and pepper flavors emerge on palate and linger toward the finish. Clean and stylish. The perfect V Martini.

Blavod Black UK
At first glance, you're convinced you’ve had too many vodkas. Once you get past the gimmicky appearance (it really is black), the vodka is quite nice. Balanced and robust with evident grain and spice notes. Finishes smooth and clean.

Blue Ice USA
A clean, fresh nose with a floral (wildflowers) and mineral impression. A rich, round palate that is faintly sweet. The finish is very peppery and slightly pithy with hints of citrus. Great right out of the freezer.

Boru Ireland
Dry, crisp with mineral notes. Slightly viscous with a medium body. Very mineral-like on the palate with a spicy, peppery finish. Very versatile.

Charbay USA
A very pleasing nose reminiscent of clean fall rain. An amazing texture, rich and oily with notes of wet river-stone and fresh grains. Finishes with sharp, almost chewy bread notes. Unique.

Charbay "Blood Orange" USA
A cocktail in a bottle. Distilled just once a year from fresh, ripe blood oranges. Incredibly pure and flavorful. Just waiting to turn the typical Cosmopolitan on its ear!

Charbay "Ruby Red Grapefruit" USA
Charbay does it again with some of the best flavored vodkas you will ever find. The grapefruit is, of course, fully stoked with fresh grapefruit flavor. Sweet while tart and slightly pithy. Beautiful balance and long lingering citrus flavors.

Chopin Poland
Named for composer Frederic Chopin. Classic potato vodka, rich and creamy on the palate. Nice hints of orchard fruits throughout. Clean, crisp finish.

Effen Netherlands
A flavorful vodka, hardly neutral. Spicy, citrus-laced nose. Quite dry on the palate, filled with ripe fruit and anise flavors. Clean and crisp with tremendous balance. A versatile vodka—ideal V Martini.

Emerald Canada
Clean and pure. A classic style with faint grain and mineral notes. Medium-bodied, slightly viscous without being at all cloying. Notes of wet stone and citrus zest trail on the finish. A great dry V Martini.

Finlandia Finland
An interesting apricot, white peach nose. Smooth and silky palate offering flavors of sweet grain and tart apples. Semi-tart and peppery on the finish.

Hangar 1 "Straight" USA
Palate entry is piquant, zesty and intensely spirity; by mid-palate, sweet and kernel-like flavors of cocoa bean, corn mash and grape pomace make willing prisoners of my taste buds. Finish is medium-long, grainy sweet and slightly grapey.

Iceberg Canada
Faintly citrusy. A medium-bodied vodka with a clean, steely edge. A very dry spirit, ideal for mixing.

Ketel One Netherlands

An assertive and unique nose reminiscent of lemon curd. Semi-viscous on the palate with more sweet-but-crisp citrus flavors accented with notes of white pepper and anise. Unique, and always a hit straight-up or in a dry Martini.

Nemiroff Original Ukraine
An interesting spirit with a complex weave of citrus, rye bread and wild honey flavors. An oily, rich texture that carries any mixer or adds interest to a V Martini. Nice.

Orange V USA
Unmistakably mandarin orange on the nose, bright and fresh. Medium-bodied, semi-viscous and assertively orange—reminiscent of orange Tang. Soft trailing finish, slightly sweet but not cloying at all. Serve chilled.

Players Extreme USA
Clean and bright. Slightly fruity and mildly grainy with a faint sweetness. A great pure vodka palate for building any classic cocktail. A good value.

Rain USA
A neutral nose with faint hints of cake, sugar and pepper. Light-bodied with subtle fruit and grain notes. Finishes quick and clean with a reemerging pepper hit.

Red Army Russia
A subtle nose offering citrus and cotton-candy notes. A slightly silky texture with faint brown spices on the finish. The packaging is an odd Dr. Strangelove meets novelty gift.

Sex Netherlands
Subtle nose, faint notes of mineral and fuel oil. Dry with a tart and pithy citrus edge. A versatile mixer.

Shakers USA
A very interesting vodka. Toasted grains, mocha and sweet vanilla notes emerge on the nose. Super smooth and faintly sweet on the palate with a trailing citrus note on the finish. A great mixer.

Shakers "Rose" USA
Rose flavored vodka? Why not? The aroma is pure rose water. A very strange drink, being quite sweet and medicinal in character. Perhaps use as a cocktail component.

Shakers "Rye" USA
Somewhat spicy vodka with a great rye-bread-like nose. Rich, semi-viscous palate showcasing the great raw material. A long, lingering finish with a crisp toasted-grain and lime-zest twist.

Smirnoff “Watermelon Twist” USA

Straight-forward, sweet watermelon scents. Semi-sweet, reminiscent of watermelon candies. Very soft with barley and a hint of alcohol. A unique mixer.

Sobieski Poland
Dare I say, a “complex” vodka? Rich and nearly chewy. Scents of sweet straw, grains and wet river-stones fill the nose. More toasted grains on the palate balanced by deep citrus notes. A long lingering finish. A vodka to satisfy brown spirit drinkers.

Stolichnaya Russia
A very soft and smooth entry. Quite fruity, almost peachy, with a mild tangy edge. Very stylish with a creamy finish. Good enough to drink straight as a tasty Vodka Martini, or mix with anything.

Stolichnaya "Vanilla" Russia
Rich, vanilla custard nose. Velvety texture on entry that quickly becomes dry and crisp with subtle pure vanilla flavors. Finishes clean and dry. The unique flavors should inspire cocktail creations.

Stolichnaya "Razberi" Russia
Great scents of wild raspberries. This is not a sweet liqueur wannabe! Refreshingly tart and true. It would make a lovely aperitif with nothing more than soda.

Stolichnaya "Citron" Russia
A dead ringer for sweet tart candies on the nose. On the palate it opens soft and silky but quickly goes crisp with lemon zest and sour lime candy flavors. The flavors impress as being natural with great balance and a clean finish. An interesting twist to the average Screwdriver.

Stolichnaya "Cranberi" Russia
Assertive cranberry and currant aromas. Slightly viscous with a rich stewed-cranberry flavor accented by lemon zest. Faintly sweet with a dry, pithy finish.

Svedka Sweden
A light, crisp vodka with a faint creamy, vanilla ice cream-like note. Perfectly balanced and easy on the budget. Fortunately, a few brands get the value formula. Bravo!

Svedka Raspberry Sweden
Bright and fresh scents of raspberry. Light to medium-bodied. Very refreshing for a flavored vodka as the raspberry adds interest and flavor without heft. Crisp, clean finish.

Turi Estonia
A beautiful example of a rye vodka. Slightly spicy and floral while clean and quite crisp. Super dry. Not enough body to use solo unless the ultra-crisp and neutral cocktail is what you seek.

Vincent Van Gogh Netherlands

Made primarily with wheat. Very clean and pure with a beautifully fragrant nose. A classic neutral vodka with a pleasing oily texture. Perfectly adaptable to all of your favorite cocktails.

Vincent Van Gogh "Coconut" Netherlands
A great pure, tropical nose. Slightly viscous with an unmistakable coconut presence. Finishes strong with a lingering toasted coconut edge. Perfect for the imaginative bartender.

Vincent Van Gogh "Pineapple" Netherlands
Assertively tropical. Quite a mouthful with pure, ripe pineapple flavors with a slightly tart, citrus edge. Long and lingering finish with tart crisp tropical fruit flavors. A novelty martini in a bottle.

Vincent Van Gogh "Melon" Netherlands
Subtle and clean nose with notes of melon rind. Semi-sweet melon flavors abound. A unique flavor with so many melon flavors, I am hard pressed to identify them all. Great simply chilled and poured

Vox Netherlands
Made entirely from wheat. A subtle nose of sweet grass and wet river-stone. An elegant style with emerging anise and mineral tones. A nice Martini choice.
